The Personal Trainers at ACB offer Workshops for specific workout needs and desired outcomes. Our Workshops are personalized and have a small trainer to participant ratio so you can get modifications and exercises that are appropriate while still being part of a group with similar training goals and desires. Training in a group often has a financial benefit as well and can cost less than individual training.
All of our Workshops have an educational component so you can learn the "why and how" behind the movement patterns that you are performing. The Workshop Programs give you a great chance to interact with a trainer and other members who have similar training goals and desires. Therefore, there is excellent coaching and learning opportunities. You are guarenteed to work hard and to learn a lot! All of the Workshops have reserved equipment and space, which makes the workout extra enjoyable! Check back often for updated and new programs added.
Current Workshops:
Better Body Bootcamp - Meet for a ladies-only workout on Mondays and Thursdays with certified personal trainer Jessie Macpherson from 10:00 to 11:00am on the basketball court. One day a week is okay too, with a member drop-in rate of $10. The class size is kept small to keep the group focused, personal and so each person gets lots of attention. Every lesson has a focus on good form and a full body workout, including exercises to increase core strength, balance, and alignment all designed specifically for a woman's body. You will learn a wide variety of exercises, as the line-up changes every class. Please contact Jessie if you would like to join the "better body" program or have any questions about class.
High Intensity Training - HIT is offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00pm. Classes meet on the basketball court, but sometimes utilize the courtyard or indoor track. Please come prepared with athletic shoes in good condition and a water bottle. The ACB member drop-in rate is $10 and non-members are $15. Please try to connect with Jessie by the day before class to discuss athletic abilities, any previous or current injuries, and get updates concerning that week's workout. Classes are never the same twice, so come challenge your body with an invigorating workout.
